Located on the north shore of Lake Ontario in Whitby, it protects over 400 hectares of wetlands, marshes, forests, meadows, and shoreline habitats around Lynde Creek.
The conservation area is especially famous for its abundant birdlife. Chickadees, nuthatches, cardinals, woodpeckers, ducks, swans, turtles, deer, and other wildlife are frequently seen along the trails.
