Kelso Conservation Area

Kelso Conservation Area is a large Niagara Escarpment recreation park in Milton built around Kelso Lake.

Location: Milton, ON

Season: Open for all seasons

It’s one of the most popular all-season outdoor destinations near the GTA, combining lake activities, hiking, skiing, biking, and adventure attractions in one place. It’s busy on weekends, especially in summer and fall, but offers a lot of variety in one place.

🌿 Experience
Kelso feels like a multi-activity outdoor resort park rather than a simple hiking area. You’ll find:
- A lake with a beach and calm water for paddling
- Forested trails on escarpment hills
- A ski hill (Glen Eden) in winter
- Adventure attractions like ropes courses and chairlift views

Quick summary
- Best for: families, mixed groups, active day trips
